MSNBC & Rachel & Team was what got me thru the 2016 term. Every night I came home and watched and prayed and the next morning , OldSoul Morning Joe to see what had blown up the night before. Do not take that from our country. It may well be the one blade of straw that gets US thru this!!

It’s been years, and NBC still can’t build an app that will carry a stream without dropping it. Often have to quit and restart the app to resume the show. None of the other streaming apps I have has this problem - other than NBCs Olympics and other apps. Obviously an NBC problem. Too bad, because MSNBC deserves much better.

I rely on MSNBC and watch it nearly all day. I even sneak it at work. Lately, however after about two or three minutes using the app on my phone. It just shuts off and goes to a black screen. At that point I cannot make it come back without completely turning the app off and turning it back on and then it’s only on for two or three minutes and I have to do it again. Please fix!

No matter what Trump does, I get a negative notification about him, I don’t know what’s wrong with MSNBC.

It is super hard to use.They need to make stuff easier to use and make it easier to understand what they are talking about and I wish they were more positive

The app is average but needs updating like other news apps. The app seems outdated especially since there is no dark mode like the majority of apps

3/3/2025: I love that RM is back for 100… however, why is it SO hard to find KATY TUR shows after the 3pm…? I need to hear it a 2nd time to apply my research. There is no Podcast, no MSNBC replay on any streaming platform? What is up with that? (This review is about the App) …that MSNBC enter the 21st Century and stand up on its own! Why? Because we, your viewers, are streaming now. We are no longer interested in CABLE OR ITS COMPANY!!! Get that please. 10 minutes on NBC News app without cable, not cool, not true. We get 4 minutes of commercials leaving maybe 6 minutes of a video tease. Tune-In is still cutting you off to commercials; which is unfortunate since it alters the news being presented. I am writing to express my feelings and emotions over the firing of Joy Reid. She is dynamite on the air and is a strong woman.

It feels like MSNBC has taken steps to cut back diversity. They’ve lost me as a viewer with that.

I love MSNBC, it’s the only news channel I have found that tells the whole story, without having to rely on fake reporting. This app as of 2025 seems just about flawless, it’s a great way to watch the truth unfold on the go, the only thing that I would say might need a little work is it seems every once in a while, there is a little bobble in the recording, however it might be worth it for the overall quality of this news channel

MSN News analysts are extremely important in these “blah” media times. A weak spot in your daytime reporting is Jose. He is not first rate. Aymon would provide the reporting excellence viewers expect from other reporters like Nicole Wallace, Ari, Jen, Rachel, Chris, etc…

Update # 2. MSNBC app has taken over first place for worst-behaved app on my iPhone (former leader was Xfinity stream which seems to have fixed most of their issues, thankfully) For the live stream, why do I need to be challenged to click on my cable provider every day or multiple times per day? Why does the live stream start, then go black after 5 seconds? Or sometimes just shuts down the app spontaneously. Updated (original review below) PiP sort of works now; however, whether or not in PiP mode, it just spontaneously “exits” several times a day. I’d say the frequency is about once every half hour. Not great. Oh, and as others have said, being prompted ***nearly every day *** for my cable provider info is quite Annoying. Original review follows: Often takes 2-3 times entering and exiting app to get the live stream to ‘take’ instead of presenting a black screen -no video or sound. Also, does not support picture-in-picture mode. Finally, please provide an option for audio-only, as sometimes I just want to listen while doing other things and don’t want to waste battery with unwatched video.

I rely on the honesty and integrity of MSNBC day and night and have for years. Not only are their own people thoroughly informed, insightful, brilliant, and appealing, the experts they interview and seek guidance from are active in the field, often brilliant , involved and share their wisdom and vast experience. I record many shows, so that I can catch up with each program, when I have time without interruption. Thank you MSNBC for your continued courageous reporting in this threatening time.

This app cannot perform the one function for which I needed it: to stream the live broadcast when away from a TV, which is allowed with verification on this app of your cable subscription. I’ve confirmed that my cable username and password are both correct (they work elsewhere) but get this error message from this app every time.

It requires a tv supplier to watch on the app but if I had a tv supplier I wouldn’t need the app. I use streaming services so I do t have to pay exorbant fees for cable and I can’t watch on this app because I’m forced to have a tv supplier. Bah humbug.

I was a viewer every day, and could not imagine missing an episode. Finally became disgusted with Joe the peacock wanting to be the only one with a platform. He wouldn't even let Mica get a word in edgewise. At first, I prayed that he would have band night and would have a day off. But he just became worse. I miss the show, but seeing the show with the peacock playing his role became too depressing. He treats his wife like she must get permission to speak.

Since you guys are currently up for sale since your ratings have utterly tanked during the past election. Now that Trump will be your president, again it’s a wonderful time to make a fresh start and stop making fools of the American people with lies and gaslighting. Musk can buy MSNBC and turn it into something beautiful as it once was back in the day when a journalist was truly a journalist and not an activist and they actually reported the news instead of whatever horrid kind of yellow journalism in which MSM has been engaging for the past near decade. I only downloaded this app in order to write this review. I’ll be removing it, now. Thanks.

This company Targets and Spams audiences. The news has been forced upon audiences and pushes ideals controlled by the tech nerds of the company. You could find more accurate news by watching Instagram and tiktock. The “reporters” will gaslight the ones the host and gatekeep information. Do not recommend listing to any news that comes from this source

You’ll have to restart the app fairly frequently. If you like to watch MSNBC while you’re doing something else, you better be able to free up your hand to relaunch.

MSNBC out of all the liberal news apps is by far the most inaccurate, misleading, vitriolic! Even now after the election of DJT they continue to lie and report the complete opposite of the facts! The others are actually starting to mellow and report some truth about what is actually happening in this country. I am just amazed at how people can actually still fall for this. The ignorance is part of the reason we are where we are.

App is stuck! Deleted, reinstalled and still not working

Trump won the presidency again and the first thing Maddow and her friends do is divide with vivacious talk about how the world will end due to instability caused by Trump. So disgusting. Never will my family or friends or myself watch a single minute of msnbc again. But praying for your souls and that you ask Jesus for forgiveness. Their articles, opinions and skewed facts are socialist and communist centric. The authors are completely biased and full of hatred. Their facts are not even close to reality. What ever happened to unbiased journalism focused on facts, pros and cons? Stay far far away from this organization, their website and their apps because they will brainwash you with their unapologetic liberal biased views.
